Mobile Phone Based - Alarming Systems
This is an example of how a typical alarming system works, when using a logger and NextG Telemetry to send alerts and also transmit the sensor data to a website. Various combinations of sensors can be connected to the same telemetry unit, with the data being sent to the same software platform.

- This system is best used, as a standalone option where there is reliable mobile phone coverage at the site.
- 'Rule of Thumb' if you can make a phone call from the monitoring site in the field, the logger can connect and send an SMS/Email/Twitter Alert.
- Each logger requires a SIM Card in order to be able to connect to the mobile phone network and transmit data to the internet
- Easy and simple option to install
- Remote communication to every NextG logger in the field (via the mobile network) allows for additional technical support and reliability
- Monitoring sites can easily be relocated (eg: growing season ends or field trials) without the need for radio repeater infrastructure
